Santa Barbara gives praise to the sun goddess every year by hosting the Summer Solstice Parade. The first day of summer is officially here-time to break out the sunscreen and head to the beach !!!!

A big thank you to the fashion label  threeASFOUR  for allowing us to visit their studio while in New York this past week.It was truly inspirational to walk into such an amazing space ……imagine Andy Warhol’s Factory on fashion design steroids !!! If you are unaware -be sure to keep a eye on this label they have been featured everywhere from Vogue -to Gap -to Colette .

 Thank You- to all of the brave men and women who have served our country !!!!!! Peace and Love to everyone,everywhere.

We participated in this years I Madonnari (Italian Street Painting Festival) @ the Santa Barbara Mission.This event is held every year to benefit the Children’s Creative Project. We chose to do a Sam Flores piece that turned out absolutely beautiful- A big thank you to Kenny ,Ryan, Vanae Rivera (Mary and the Machine) and of course-Sam Flores.

Mother Nature let her devilish side loose in the last couple of days here in Santa Barbara. The Jesusita Fire broke out on 5/5 and became full of furry yesterday (5/6) when the sun downer winds kicked up and tore through the canyons above Santa Barbara . The guests at the Presidio were evacuated and had to move on elsewhere to safety. Our thoughts and prayers go out to all of those S.B. residents who lost homes. As of today- we are open for business, out of harms way, and we’re giving special rates to firefighters or any of the thousands who were evacuated.

Our new bullet sconces are from our friend Trefon at Vintage Oasis in Palm Springs. We originally purchased these in stainless steel for our sister the Agave Inn and upon realizing how delightful they looked (not only in the day but at night as well ) we quickly put an order in for white powder-coated for Presidio. Thanks again Trefon for helping us to continue our retro meets modernists vibe here at the Presidio !!!!!!
